All these time rumor has it that
the new HTC Evo View 4G will be running on Android 3.0 or Honeycomb operating
system. Although the device may be first launched with Android 2.3 or
Gingerbread OS, the company has stated that they have prepared the current
operating system so that the device can be upgraded to higher level of OS.
However, the current development and condition has shown that the possibility
for upgraded operating system won’t come true at least, for now.
The problem faced by the company
is that they don’t have the Honeycomb code until now,
and neither does Sprint.
Both of them aren’t even sure whether they’ll have the code soon enough. Mark
Elliot, the spokesperson from Sprint, has stated that they’ve been planning to
have Honeycomb OS for the device, but they don’t know for sure when they can
launch the new operating system. They’re still doing research and testing of
the OS, but they can’t guarantee that it will be available soon in the near
future.
It seems confirmed now that the
so-called sophisticated device will be launched without any Honeycomb operating
system at all. It’s a 50 – 50 chance that the operating system will be – finally
– available or not at all. People shouldn’t put their hopes high too much.
